The Rainbow and God's Promise

Image
The Rainbow and God's Promise at Café Press The rainbow (or bow as is stated in the Bible) is God's promise to never to destroy the earth by flood. The above shows the scripture where this is found; Genesis 9:13 . " I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth. " It is unfortunate that the rainbow has a different meaning now but it was first used by God to symbolize His promise never to flood the earth again.  I created the above design as a way to show the promise and the Bible verse that it is in. I made it curved since rainbows are curved and not really straight (like in some uses). I thought I would have it on things that combine the rainbow and the verse. I put them on things; things that that one can get at my Café Press page (link above).  It is a simple design. I created with the Paint program in Microsoft Windows.  The site is not perfect. I am still working on it.

The Lord's Presence

Image
This is copied from the bulletin of Calvary Baptist Church in Portsmouth NH . The bulletin is dated 04/28/2024. The Lord's Presence Hebrew s 13:5 May the Lord's Presence be with you day by day. Above You - To Guide         "Know therefore this day, and consider it in thine heart, that the Lord He is God in heaven above and upon the earth beneath: there is none else" ( Deuteronomy 4:39 ) Underneath You - To Support          "The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and He shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy them."  ( Deuteronomy 33:27 ). Behind You - As A Reward         "for ye shall not go out with haste, nor go by flight: for the Lord will go before you; and the God of Israel will be your reward." ( Isaiah 52:12 ) Before You - To Lead         "I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight ... " ( Is...

Christian; Not Perfect, Just Forgiven - at Café Press

Image
This is my design to say that Christians are not perfect but they are forgiven. It is a good thing one doesn't have to be perfect to be a Christian; otherwise, the person who could be a Christian would be Jesus Christ Himself.  "Christian; Not Perfect, Just Forgiven" at Café Press. I thought it would be neat to sell things with the above on it. It is a simple design that I thought could or would provoke conversations with those who think that being a Christian would - somehow - make you perfect and better than others. I think it would make a great tool to witness to others.

The World Wants Compromising Preachers

Image
This is copied from the bulletin of Calvary Baptist Church in Portsmouth NH . The bulletin is dated 04/21/2024. The World Wants Compromising Preachers          If there's anything the world wants, it's a liberal preacher. What are these liberal fellows? One that reads the Ten Commandments like this:               "Thou shalt not steal if there's any likelihood of being caught."                    "Thou shalt not covet, but get all you can and keep all you get."               "Thou shalt not commit adultery but have more than one wife if it suits your convenience."          Oh, I know what the world cries for - compromise. They want a liberal fellow who give the devil free run in the church and turns the world over to the devil.          I will tell you that the hope of thi...

Genesis & Revelation

Image
This is copied from the bulletin of Calvary Baptist Church of Portsmouth NH . The bulletin is dated April 14, 2024. Genesis & Revelation     by H. A. Ironside         People often speak of the book of Revelations. There is no such book in the Bible. It is the Revelation - one blessed continuous manifestation of God's unique Son, the Anointed Prophet, Priest, and King. Revelation is the crowing book book of the Bible. It is like the headstone of Zechariah 4:7 that completes and crowns the whole wonderous pyramid of truth.          Of this vast pyramid, the Pentateuch of Moses forms the broad, solid foundation. Upon this is built the covenant history. Then the Psalms and poetical books. Then there is the prophetic series of the Old Testament. Higher up we have the Gospels and the Acts. Then the Epistles with their deep spiritual instruction; and to complete the glorious structure, this last, solemn but exceedingly pr...

The Future!

Image
This is copied from the bulletin of Calvary Baptist Church of Portsmouth NH . The bulletin is dated 04/07/2024. THE FUTURE! No Sorrow         "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, not crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away." ( Revelation 21:4 ). Wonderful Living         "for I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us." ( Romans 8:18 ) Pleasures         "Thou will shew me the path of life: in they presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore." ( Psalm 16:11 ). Rewards         "Knowing that whatsoever good things any man doeth, the same shall be receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free." ( Ephesians 6:8 ). Rest         "..... Ther...

He Lives!

Image
This is copied from the bulletin of Calvary Baptist Church in Portsmouth NH. The bulletin date is 03/31/2024. He Lives "He is not here: for He is risen, as He said" - Matthew 28:6          These glorious words, spoken by an angel, brought fear and great joy to those who heard them. The previous week must have been a blur of activity to them - they had seen their Messiah, the Lord Jesus, raise Lazarus from the dead, enter triumphantly into Jerusalem as their King, and the be betrayed, arrested, battened and hung on the cross to die between two criminals. They thought He was the One who would deliver them from their enemies and lead them into His kingdom. Now, early in the morning, they had gone to see His tomb.         The news that He was alive should not have surprised them. Many times He had foretold His crucifixion and resurrection.  In fact, time after time, He told them that He would go to Jerusalem, die and rise again. ...

The "FLEE' Market

Image
This is copied from the bulletin of Calvary Baptist Church of Portsmouth NH . The bulletin is dated 03/24/2024.  The "FLEE" Market          The Bible contains a vast "flee market" with over 100 flee verses. Flee means to run, git, shun, avoid, move, and don't look back. There are times to face and fight. There are also times to flee and forget. Wisdom is knowing when - when to wait and when to walk. Know when to stop and know to step. TIMES TO FLEE         "Flee fornication" ( 1 Corinthians 6:18 )     Learn that lifetime lust lingers within you ( Roma ns 7:20 ). In his later years John R Rice said, "I have not become sinless, but I do sin less." TIMES TO FOLLOW         "But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness." ( 1 Timothy 6:11 ).          "Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness ..." ( 2 Timothy 2:22 ).  TIMES TO FI...
