What Happens To The Christian After Death?

Image
This is copied from the bulletin of Calvary Baptist Church of 472 Ocean Rd in Portsmouth NH . The bulletin date is 05/26/2024. What Happens To The Christian After Death?         In attempting to answer the question concerning which there seems to be much perplexity in the minds of many sincere believers, we need only to consider 2 Corinthians 4:16 - 5:10 .           "For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us as a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal. "          "For we know that is our earthy house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with ha...

A New Way To Spell JOY?

Image
I think I might have found a different way to spell JOY. I made it with each letter represents something specific and different. J.O.Y. at Café Press .          The J represents Jesus. The cross represents what He did on the cross to die for the sins of man. It shows that He was the ultimate Lamb of God. This is why I put the cross inside the capital letter J. It is first since we put Jesus first in our lives.           The O has part of the globe in it. It is not perfect but it is to represent the world or others. The O is for others. It is second since we put others second.          The Y is made to resemble a person; a singular person. It is last since we would put ourselves last.           I think this is one way to spell joy; J.O.Y.          I thought it would be neat to put this one different things. I uploaded this design to my Café Press a...

What Has Science To Say?

Image
This is copied from the bulletin of Calvary Baptist Church at 472 Ocean Road in Portsmouth NH . The bulletin is dated 05/19/2024. What Has Science To Say?          Dr. Joseph A Parker said, "Some have found fault with me. They say I am old fashioned and out of date. I am always quoting the Bible. Why not turn to science this morning?          There is a poor widow here who has lost her only son, who was saved by the grace of God. She wants to know if she will see him again. Science will give the answer and I will put the Bible away." So he took the Book and put it on the seat behind. "Will this woman see her son again? Where is he? Does death end all? What has science to say?          Here a long pause. "We are waiting for an answer, the woman is anxious." Another long pause. "The woman's heart is breaking. Science must speak. Nothing to say? Surely? Then we must take the Book," and here he reverent...

A Visual Representation of John 3:16 on things at the Café Press site.

Image
I have designed a visual representation of John 3:16 . I uploaded the design to my Café Press account . I have put it on some things and plan to put it on more things.  John 3:16 - Café Press         This is the visual representation of the first part of John 3:16 .            The outer part is God. God is a spirit. Since we don't know what God looks like, I used an abstract design for Him.          The next level is love. It is represented by a heart; a traditional symbol of love.           The next level is the world. It is represented by the globe; at least part of it. It shows the whole world since God's love covers the whole world.           The next level is Jesus the Christ. I used a figure of a person in a stylized form of clothing common back then (at least what I think it was).           The ...

The Double Clasp Plus

Image
This is copied from the bulletin of Calvary Baptist Church  (a King James Only church) at 472 Ocean Road in Portsmouth NH  03801. The bulletin is dated 05/12/2024. The Double Clasp          "...neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand, and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand."              ( John 10:28-29 ). The Savior's hand - how close to its hold, That none can loosen, none can break, No powers of heaven or earth or hell That loving clasp can ever shake. And over Jesus' wounded hand The Father's hand of strength is laid. Omnipotent to save and keep; Thus is our surety surer made. So, one beneath and one above, The Father's and Son their hands unite. How safe, how safe the ransomed are Within that clasp of tender might! by Annie Johnson Flint

Jesus the Christ Inspired Banknotes?

Image
I found these Jesus inspired banknotes on eBay. They were sold / put up for auction by Banknotes Stamps Coins .           I think they are very well done. They look and feel like real banknotes. I think they are very imaginative.           I like how they have scripture and information on the back of them. One has scripture from the Holy Bible.           While I doubt Heaven will have money or banknotes, I think this would be what they might look like if they did (or something close to it).           I have two sets of them since I think it was cool to get them. I think they still have more - at the link above.          I have found others (search results using Duck Duck Go using 'Jesus banknotes') but none as nice looking as the above.

Hell ; Don't Go There - at my Café Press Online Store

Image
The basis for this goes back when I would tease my siblings. I would sometimes get a 'don't go there' as in don't tell the joke or tease me. I would replay with "I don't get to go anywhere".           Of all the places that one should not go is hell; especially the way the Holy Bible tells of it (where the worm dies not and the flames are eternal / burn eternally [not the 'party place' that some would like to think]).           This is my simple design that combines the image of hell - a burning place of punishment - with my 'don't go there' idea. I think it could be used as a way to witness to people or express ones opinion  and reveal what the Holy Bible reveals of hell (I will post what the Holy Bible reveals of hell in a future blog).  Hell, Don't Go There - at TomLeeM at Café Press . It is available on various items. Café Press does the work and I get a little bit of the p...

God Bruised Jesus Because He Loved You

Image
This is copied from the bulletin of Calvary Baptist Church of Portsmouth NH . The date of the bulletin is 05/05/2024. God Bruised Jesus Because He Loved You         "Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise Him; He hath put Him to grief: when thou shalt make His soul and offering for sin, He shall see His seed, He shall prolong His days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in His hand." ( Isaiah 53:10 ).         The suffering Lamb of God! Oh, what an incentive to labor for souls. What an incentive to seek the lost in all the earth. What an incentive to activity, to be "... steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord ..." ( 1 Corinthians 15:58 ). It is only by winning soul that we can reward Jesus for His sufferings; only by seeking the lost in all the earth can we satisfy Him for the travail of soul, which He bore for us upon the cross of Calvary.         Nothing but souls, SOULS will e...
