It Cannot Be Done .... But Let's Do It

"Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could we not cast him out? And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, if ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. (Matthew 17:19-20).

        "Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth". (Mark 9:23)

        As I go from place to place or speak to believers in our day and age, often there is found a spirit of defeatism that is not warranted from God's Word. They say, "We are living in the last days and cannot expect to see souls saved." Or again, "The Lord's work is too hard for ordinary Christians."

        But our eyes are too often upon ourselves or upon others or upon circumstances. Who says it cannot be done? Man often says this. But God says, "... all things are possible to him that believeth." (Mark 9:23). Notice that it is individual faith that is set forth. Any believer and God can see miracles in our day and age.

      Now the salvation of a soul is God's miracle. It is the work of the Holy Spirit. Perhaps someone  now is reading who is not truly born again. I plead with you to apply the truth of God's Word to your own heart. Read John 3:16; John 5:24; 
1 John 5:13. Take a definite stand right now for the Lord.

        Our daily relationship to the Lord is a miracle. God's promises are based on a divine miraculous law, not on human wisdom. The reason we do not see God work in our own lives is because we do not put Him to the test. Let us try to apply these promises for one week and see what God will do. "The liberal soul shall be made fat.." (Proverbs 11:25). "There is that scattereth, and yet incresaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty" (v24). Also apply verse 25, "...he that watereth shall be watered also himself. " If our lives are not centered around self IT CANNOT BE DONE. If our lives revolve around the WORD OF GOD all things are possible to him that believeth.

        There are souls to be reached in every community. They'll never be reached through ordinary Christianity. It will require self sacrifice of time and effort and prayer. We must have a fresh anointing of the Holy Spirit. We are seeing God at work. God says, "...nothing shall be impossible unto you". Are your loved ones unsaved? Don't give up. Are you discouraged? Keep at it for God. Are you having a time of deep testing? Look unto Him. Man may say, "It cannot be done." God says, "Lets do it".

Pray is taking hold of God's willingness rather than an overcoming of His reluctance.

God's part we cannot do; our part He will not do.

Part Two of My Trip to the Museum of the Bible in Washington DC

This is the part where they had the King James Bibles. It gave some information on the history of it and there were a few King James Bibles too. There might be other photos of this floor where they have the history of the Bible and they will be part of a different blog. It took up the whole floor. There are six floors of the museum with floor having a different theme / part of the Bible. These photos are nice but one should go to the museum to really experience what they have and learn from what they show.  The upper part of the King James Bible sign.
