Our Belief In The Divine Inspiration And Providential Preservation Of The Bible.
by Stephen Scot-Pearson
"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for the doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works."
"For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake they were moved by the Holy Ghost." (2 Peter 1:21).
The writings which God inspired, being the very breath of God (Greek word theopneustos meaning God breathed), are supernaturally, planarly, and verbally inspired, free from any error, infallible, and inerrant. As such they are unique. No other writings, have ever been or ever will be inspired.
We declare our belief that the texts which are the closest to the original autographs of the Bible ae of the Bible are traditional Masoretic Hebrew text for the Old Testament and the traditional Greek text for the New Testament underlying the Authorized version of 1611 (The Textus Receptus Beza's edition - being the primary authority).
We declare our belief that the Authorized Version known as the King James Bible of 1611; is the true English Bible, is the true faithful, and accurate translation of these two providential preserved texts.
Such is the excellence of this translation that we can without hesitation hold in our hand the Authorized Version of 1611 and say "THIS IS THE WORD OF GOD!". We acknowledge that scripture must be compared with scripture and that occasional recourse to the underlying original text aids clarity.
We declare our belief that ALL of the verses in the Authorized Version of the Bible belong there because they represent words we believe were in the original texts. We declare our belief that NO conflicts or contradictions are to be found in our Bible.
By Almighty God's free, saving grace we have been born again, ".. not of corruptible seed, but of the incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever ... "
(1 Peter 1:23).
"If we don't have an inspired Bible to hold in our hands and read, we have nothing!"
Pastor Don Gum
We are not to look at our faith, but to God's faithfulness. We do not look on present circumstances but look on God's resources. We do not take thought for tomorrow. It is in God's hands.
