Faith of a Mustard Seed

I saw this necklace on The Positive Christian. It is a cross with a see through middle that contains a mustard seed. I think it is not only beautiful but also can be instructional; Mustard Seed Necklace (it is on sale from $17.10 to $9.97 [at least at the time of this posting - so one should check the price before ordering one]). I don't gain or profit from showing this but I thought it was a great way to start a blog about the faith of a mustard seed.

Here is a photo from their website; The Positive Christian

It comes in silver or gold finished.

The scripture that has the 'faith of a mustard seed is Matthew 17:20 KJV (one can see other versions [translations] of this verse at Bible Gateway too). Bible Hub is where one can see the different translations side by side to compare the scriptures for Matthew 17:20

20 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

The scripture indicates one doesn't have to have a lot of faith to accomplish things. A mustard seed is a very small thing; as one can see on the cross that is pictured. I have been told that it is one of the smallest seeds around.

It includes the encouragement card.

This Got Questions site has a very good lesson on what this verse means. I have read it and it is very good. One should always check what one reads with scripture to make sure how Biblical it is.

Cross Walk has a great article on the mustard seed. As with the above, doing ones own research also helps to see how Biblical it is. The site also has other verses one can read too.

I do not gain or profit from showing the necklace from Positive Christian. I just think it is a neat way to start a conversation about the faith of a mustard seed. Perhaps having or wearing it could also be a way to start a conversation on it?
